This was on my wishlist for Christmas, and I was delighted when it appeared out of the wrapping paper. It is the Archbishop of Canterbury's Lent Book for 2010, which I have been reading it with great delight - a sensitive and creative reflection on our faith.
The author is a musician, and it shows in the text. Reading this book reminded me of how much pleasure I get from listening to music, even while knowing I could not produce such sounds myself. The author does the same with words; the song plays through the words, but while they resonate with my soul I don't know how to make that sound myself.
